CARNIVAL TRIUMPH at sea.

For several months now, I have anticipated the change that is set to begin tomorrow morning with the arrival of Carnival Cruise Lines, CARNIVAL TRIUMPH, to the Port of Galveston. The 1999 built ship, is fresh from a two week dry-docking in the Bahamas, and is set to embark guests for the first time from this Texas port, Thursday, October 6. I'm booked on the next sailing which leaves on October 10.

 Not only will Galveston be the homeport for this ship, but also for Carnival's newest, CARNIVAL MAGIC, which debuted this Summer in Europe. She  will make her way to her new home next month. 

With this, comes the departure of CARNIVAL CONQUEST, who has been homeported in Galveston since Hurricane Katrina hit her first homeport of New Orleans. In addition, CARNIVAL ECSTASY, will be leaving for New Orleans, and then on to Florida by the end of the year.
