Carnival's 1999 built CARNIVAL TRIUMPH at sea

When CARNIVAL TRIUMPH sails into her new homeport of Galveston TX in October, she will be looking her best. The ship just arrived to a Bahamas drydock for a two week makeover. Not many details have been released at this time as to what type of work will be performed. Normally, if it does not entail major structural changes, she will receive new carpeting throughout the ship, wall coverings, painting the funnels, and underwater part of the hull.

Cruise lines regularly schedule these at two or three year intervals. CARNIVAL TRIUMPH, will replace the smaller CARNIVAL ECSTASY which will be moving to New Orleans for short period of time, and from there move on to south Florida. In addition to this, the Port of Galveston will soon welcome the newest ship in Carnival's fleet, CARNIVAL MAGIC in November.
